Privacy policy
Plain English: what we collect, why, and how to have it deleted.

Who we are
FirstAssistPA ("we") is an orthopaedic physician assistant placement service in California. Contact: hello@firstassistpa.com.
What we collect
- Practice requests: your name, title, organization, city, email, phone, and the details of the role you describe.
- PA sign-ups: your name, email, phone, license status, experience, preferences, any notes, and your CV if you upload one.
- Guide emails: your email address, if you subscribe.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser user agent when you submit a form, used to prevent spam and abuse.
We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for our own admin page.
How we use it
- To respond to you and to match practices with PAs.
- To send guide updates if you subscribed. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or just reply and ask.
- To keep the site secure and free of spam.
Who sees it
- PAs: we share your profile or CV with a practice only after you say yes to that specific role.
- Practices: we share your practice name and role details with candidate PAs as needed to discuss the role.
- Service providers who help us run the site: our hosting provider (Railway) stores the data, and our email provider (Resend) delivers notification emails. They process it only on our behalf.
- Where the law requires it.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while it's useful for placement, and delete it when you ask. We review and remove records with no contact for three years.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, including your CV. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we extend them to everyone. Email hello@firstassistpa.com. We won't treat you differently for asking.
Security
Data is stored with our hosting provider, uploaded CVs are not publicly accessible, and access is limited to us. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects you, we'll tell you.
Health information
Please don't send patient information through this site. Our forms are for hiring details only.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
